Saige, as always, is adjusting well to the move. She is loving school and is very active. She was voted as the student council rep for her homeroom so she goes to student council meetings once a week. She was also nominated by her teachers for a committee (can't remember the name) but they plan and organize activities for the school. She has also become a member of the robotics club where they build and program robots made from
legos. I don't quite get it but she enjoys going to the meetings.
When we went to sign her up for school they asked her if she wanted to take band. I told her why not, take a chance. (By the way, band is huge here in Wyoming.) Anyway, she decided to play the
saxophone. As much as she loves playing it, I think she wishes she had chosen and smaller, lighter instrument as she does not enjoy lugging it to and from the bus stop.
Here are a couple of pictures from the summer.
Saige's first pictures in the barley field did not turn out as she would of liked, so this is from our second try!
First day of
school. She looked dang cute and was ready to take on the new adventures.
This was
Saige on Crazy Day! Not a great picture but her hair was way cool! She looked great if I do say so myself.
Here is
Saige in the homecoming parade. I had no idea she was going to be in it until my friend saw her walking by (hence the picture from behind). They asked students who wanted to wear pink for breast cancer awareness to walk. She volunteered but did say it was a little hot!
Saige is a great kid and loving life here. We thought we had lined up some clogging for her but it is not working out like planned. She is a little bummed about that but hopefully we can find something else for her to do.
