Wynter

Just thought I would write about Wynter a little bit, she is just dang cute and we all love her. She is walking all over the place, is happy most of the time and makes us all laugh more often than not. She doesn't talk or have any words but is the queen squawker. She points and grunts at what she wants and somebody will get it for her. She is very smart and just yesterday figured out how to escape the "donut" at the Dance Shack where I clean on Tuesdays. This is not good because then I worry about her falling after we have mopped or playing in the cleaning stuff but that is how it goes. Anyway, thought I would post some pictures of her so that you could see how much she has grown.

Cuz ya had a bad day

Well, lets just say it wasn't the best day that there ever was. This morning I woke up when Jeramy was getting ready for work and I could hear the snowplows going so I knew we had snow. When he came to kiss me goodbye I had a strange thought and said, "Drive safe." He got a new dog on Saturday and he fed her right before he left (about 5:15 am) she just started barking and wouldn't stop. I decided to call him and ask what I could do to stop the racket that the whole neighborhood had to be hearing. Unfortunately, he didn't answer which I decided was not such a bad thing if the roads were bad. About 15 min after that the phone rang and it was him wondering if I called. I told him about the dog and then he said, "By the way, could you get me a number for a tow truck, I am off the road." He was taking the exit to go to the hospital and he said the snow grabbed his car and flipped him off the road where he heard and felt the car hit some sort of metal. The funny part was that he was only about a mile and a half from work and the snow plow pretty much followed him up the ramp, two minutes later and it might never have happened. After the shock wore off and please remember this is about 5:35 am ( and I am not a morning person at all) I finally remember to ask him if he as okay. To say the day started bad is an understatement. The best news of all of this is that other than a wrecked bumper, broken airdam (I think that is how it is spelled) and a flat tire, he was safe and a nice guy in a jeep pulled him out, he changed his tire, sent the tow truck back and drove to work.
For me the bad day did not end, the dog barked all morning, and I was apologizing to all the neighbors for keeping them up, (there is no way they could have slept through it all.) At some point during this crazy day, one of my neighbors saw fit to put a nasty note in my mailbox (which by the way is a federal offense) about how the dog had kept them up for two nights straight and that we needed to "fix the problem." I really don't know what to do with this kind of stuff because we are not deaf to the barking, could they not hear us trying to queit her or what. People like that just make me laugh, had they come to the door I would have profusely apologized and even offered the some earplugs until we could quote,"fix the problem." I think the note is funny!!!! I may just have to save it for a good laugh another day.
Then when I tried to shut the garage door it got something stuck in it and was all crazy slanted and I couldn't get it to shut, then I couldn't get it to open I thought for sure I had broken it.
By the way, through all of this the snow never quit falling that would be from before Jeramy got up until after 5 PM. Now that the garage would not open I could not get the 4 wheeler out to clear up the good 6-8 inches of snow in the driveway. I then saw my neighbor and asked if he could help me open my garage I would clear out some of his snow for him. 45 minutes later and a promise of some delicious cookies for me the two of us finally got the garage open and I think the bad day finally ended.
The up side of the whole day was 1) Jeramy didn't get hurt when he slid off the road, 2) the snow is beautiful, 3) the dog is now quiet, 4) I now know my next door neighbor is a maintence guru who was very kind to help me fix the garage before Jeramy even got home to see what a mess I had made.

Snow!!!

This is what we woke up to this morning. I have to say no complaints here. I am so excited to have the ugly brown snow covered up with some new white stuff I will not complain. Last winter it kept coming and coming so I kinda feel ripped off this winter. I don't think I even complained too much last winter about it except for the baptism/blessing weekend when no one could get here. Anyway, needless to say we are getting quyite the storm and it is still coming. I took this picture about 8 am and now it is close to 10 we have even more.
I love it.

The Photographer in Me

So here are the pictures that I took of my kids, I think I did fairyly well, a couple of have light from the windows that I could have done without but otherwise, I think my camera did a great job and it will definately be cheaper to print than his prices.

This is Denali's costume, she uses it every week for tumbling then we bought a cute little skirt for clogging and I made the flowers for the all the girls hair.

This is Saige's tumbling costume, everyone has the same one so they all look alike during class.
Saige's clogging costume, they dance to the Cheetah Girls.

This is Koya's Jazz costume, the music is all about spiders and they have long fabric strips that they use when they dance, it is a very cool dance.

This is hands down one of the cutest costumes I have seen, the music is about wind up dolls kinda a thing and is absolutely darling. However, when this costume comes on stage no one will be able to take their eyes off them because it is so darling.
Well, let me know how I did and if it was worth all my stressing and anger about the horrible prices.
By the way, my husband bought me the awesome camera that took all the pictures and I am so happy to have a camera with some killer memory so I can just snap away. I case you didn't catch that I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!!

The Older Girls

Sakoya
Thought I would share some photos of the older girls. This Sakoya one morning while she was playing Mario brothers on Nali's Nintendo DS. She is doing really well in school, loves dance, is getting really good at the piano. She is also loving basketball even though her team doesn't win much. She is looking forward to March so that she can go to Young Women's even though her mother is dreading the day.

Saige
We took this picture after we took her hair out of the braids of her favorite hairdo. She is doing great in school, loves clogging and gymnastics, is playing some primary songs on the piano and is loving basketball where is team is 4-0 and she scores about 10 points a game. This past game it even clicked about how to use the back board, it made her mother so happy.

This is all Saige wanted for her birthday, a new big warm and cozy quilt which, believe it or not, I actually came up with the pattern and did all the work myself. I am actually wishing it was mine and her dad has threatened to steal it as it is purple his favorite color.

Denali
Just thought you all should see my toothless girl who lost both her front teeth between Christmas and New Year's and then another one about a week after that. Needless to say she is taking the tooth fairy to town. She is loving school, clogging and gymnastics but I think she could go for a whole day of school as easily gets bored at home.

NATA Convention

A couple of weeks ago I got this phone call from the NATA (National Athletic Trainers Assoc) and the guy on the other end was real nice and talking to me about renewing my membership online. He talked for a while about the prizes for they were giving away to those who renewed online and I thought "Oh cool, I won free registration to the convention." The more he talked the more I didn't understand everything he was telling me then all the sudden it clicked and I said, "DID I WIN THE GRAND PRIZE?" He then explained that I really had won the grand prize which included free airfare, free hotel and registration to the convention, which by the way is in San Antonio. I was so excited by the time I got off the phone I missed the last half of the conversation with the guy and was totally left wondering if it had been some sort of joke because, let's get real here I have never won anything this exciting in my whole life. (This is part of the reason I have not included this on the blog yet nor have I told very many people, I had to make sure this was all for real.) Well, it is very real and they posted my name of the NATA website as the grand prize winner and I have talked to them since to make arrangements for my hotel and airfare.
After I got off the phone with the guy, danced around for about 20 minutes acting, according to Denali, more that a little crazy but it was just so cool. Needless to say I will be spending my week in San Antonio free in June. I have to say sorry to Kim, my friend who lives in San Antonio, because I am bummed that I will not get to stay at her house, but who am I to pass up on the free hotel.
So life is good, I am currently trying to convince Jeramy that we should use the money saved for one of two things, 1) a cruise to somewhere warm next fall/ winter or 2) a trip to San Diego with the kids again with time to visit Aunt Tauna in there.
Well, enough of my good news. Take care and miss you.
